Message from President of JEMS2010

 

We are pleased to invite your participation to the 39th annual meeting of the Japanese Environmental Mutagen Society (JEMS2010) to be held in Tsukuba City this November. The theme of JEMS2010 is ‘Children, Chemicals and Administration --- Global and local issues on environmental mutagen research’. We have organized a program focusing on ‘the Environment and Health’ to discuss current and future issues in environmental mutagen research from ‘glocal (global + local) viewpoints’. We look forward to seeing you in Tsukuba soon.

Plenary lecture: Hiroshi Sato (Tohoku University) “Post-natal effects of environmental chemicals on children by fetal exposure; Expectation on the national wide study on children’s health and the environment “Children’s Environmental Health Study” (tentative)”
Invited lecture 1: Atsuya Wada (MOE, Japan Government) “Policy and outlines of 2009 amendment of Chemical Substances Regulation Law (tentative)”
Invited lecture 2: Masara Kitano (Meiji University) “Current trends in the management of chemicals (tentative)”
International symposium: Global issues on mutagens in the environment and their health effects (tentative).
Symposium 1: Mutated DNA to RNA; lesions on RNA and mechanisms of RNA surveillance (tentative).
Symposium 2: New technology and materials for mutagen research (tentative).
Workshop: Risk assessment and threshold of genotoxic carcinogen (tentative).

    Student:3,000 YEN
    Non-member:12,000 YEN


Normal registration (after Oct. 19, 2010)
    Member:12,000 YEN
    Student:5,000 YEN
    Non-member:15,000 YEN

 

Banquet
    Early bird registration:8,000 YEN(Student:4,000 YEN)
    Normal registration:10,000 YEN(Student:5,000 YEN)

 

A box lunch is available for 1,000 YEN(reservation requested).
